Abstract The goal of the construction of new enginering disciplines is to cultivate outstanding engineering innovation talents.For master's degree students in enginering majors,the dual mentor system both insideand outside the university plays an important role in cultivating their engineering innovation abilities.The important prerequisite for the comprehensive development of professonal master's degr students in theoretical knowledge, engineering practiceabilityandotheraspects stofectivelymobilizetheenthusiasmofinteralandexteralmentors incollabrative education,andfullyutilizetheprofessionalexpertiseofinternalandextermal mentors.Tothisend,thearticle comprehensively analyzes the existing problems in the incentive mechanism for graduate supervisors both inside and outside the school,discussesthe explorationand practiceof the author'sresearch team on the incentive model for graduate supervisors both inside and outside the school,and provides suggestions for improving the incentive mechanism for graduate supervisors in engineering majors.
