Abstract:Underthebackgroundoftheconstructionof"First-rateUniversitiesandDisciplines",thecultivationofinovative abilityof geologicalengineringgraduatestudentsshouldcoselymatchthenationaldevelopmentstrategyandindustrydemandIt aimstocultivateigh-levelprofessonalswithinterationalvisioninnovativespiritandexcellentpracticalabilityTaking GeologicalengineeringmajorofNorthChinaUniversityofWaterResourcesandElectricPowerasanexample,thispaper discusestheefectivemodeofconstructingandexploring thecultivationofgraduatestudents’innovativeabilityunderthe backgroundofdouble-first-classestablishment,startingfromfiveaspects:optimizingthecuiculumsystemandteachingcontent, reformingteachingmethodsandmeans,strengtheningtheconstructionofteachingstaff,improvingtheasessmentandevaluation mechanism,andpromotingexchangesandcooperation.Teresearchresultsnotonlyhaveguidingsignificanceforthecultivation ofinovationabilityofthegraduatestudentsofthegeologicalengineeringmajoroftheuniversity,butalsoprovidevaluable reference for the cultivation of innovation ability of engineering majors in other universities.
