Abstract: In the context of the continuous impact of globalization, cultural exchanges have become increasingly frequent, with different cultures colliding and gradually integrating with one another. Under such an era background, cultural confidence has emerged as a crucial spiritual pillar in the development process of nations and ethnic groups. At present, there are numerous issues in the teaching of cultural content in junior high school geography. Insufficient excavation of cultural resources makes it difficult for students to appreciate the profound heritage of geographical culture. The relatively monotonous teaching methods result in a lack of enthusiasm among students for learning geographical cultural content, and the one-sided teaching evaluation overlooks the consideration of students' cultural literacy. These existing problems severely restrict the effective cultivation of students'cultural confidence. Based on this, this study focuses on the goal of cultivating cultural confidence, delves into an analysis of the current situation of junior high school geography cultural content teaching,and actively explores optimization paths for teaching. The aim is to enhance students' cognition and identification with local culture through effective teaching strategies, elevate their level of cultural confidence, and provide theoretical references and practical guidance for junior high school geography cultural teaching.
