韩文造字起源的中华优秀传统文化要素综述

A Survey of Traditional Chinese Cultural Elements in the Origin of the Korean Script： A Case Study of the Hunminjeongeum Haerye

Abstract： The original name for the Korean script was “Hunminjeongeum”. It is a rare writing system with clearly documented principles of its creation，marking a milestone in the history of Korean writing. This paper focuses on the Hunminjeongeum Haerye （Explanations and Examples of the Proper Sounds for the Instruction of the People）， the text that reveals the origins of the Korean script's creation.It analyzes the correlation between the glyphs and ideology behind the formation of the Korean alphabet and its theory of syllabic block composition，and the Six Principles of Chinese character formation and the Neo-Confucianism of Song and Yuan dynasties. The study reveals that the Hunminjeongeum，as a crucial historical source for researching the origin of the Korean script，is a crystallization of the fusion between traditional Korean culture and Chinese elements such as Song-Yuan Neo-Confucianism， traditional phonology，and philological theories. It is a significant product of the active learning and referencing of Chinese classics from the Song and Yuan dynasties， such as the Xingli Daquan （Great Compendium on Human Nature and Principle） and the Qieyun Zhizhangtu （Finger-and-Palm Charts to the Cut Rhymes System）， by the ruling class of Joseon， including King Sejong. The Korean Peninsula has a long history of using Chinese characters to represent Korean phonetically or semantically; therefore，the creation of the Korean script by King Sejong of Joseon in the 15th century by drawing upon Fine Traditional Chinese Culture was a historical inevitability.
