Abstract： "Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature" is an important compulsory core course for the major of Chinese Language and Literature. Under the perspective of the output-oriented approach， the traditional course has problems such as the lack of teaching subjectivity， a narrow evaluation system， a teaching mode mainly based on lecturing and teaching，and an emphasis on theory over practice，which do not align with the demands of the times and society for talents.Against the backdrop of professional certification for teacher education， the course instructors should adhere to the output-oriented teaching concept as the core，and take practical and effective measures such as transforming teaching concepts， focusing on student development， optimizing teaching content， cultivating comprehensive abilities in morality， talent， and application， diversifying teaching methods， and improving the course evaluation system. This will better achieve the educational goal of fostering virtue through education all-round development in morality， talent，and application.
