Research on the Current Status and Optimization Pathways of Safety Standards System for Sports Equipment and Facilities in China

Abstract:Thesafetyofsports equipmentandfacilities servesasthe fundamental basis forensuring publicsportsactivity safetyand promoting high-quality development of the sports industry.This paper systematicall examines the evolution andcurrent statusofChina’s safety standards system forsports equipmentand facilities.Throughacomparativeanalysis with internationalstandards (e.g,ISOandENstandards),itidentifies threemajorshortcomings intheexistingsystem: (l) insuficient coverage to meet emerging demands,(2)misalignmentbetween standardsspecifications and technological advancements,and (3)poor coordinationand lowenforcement efciency.To address these issues,this paper proposes optimization pathways featuring“lifecycle-widecoverage,multi-stakeholdercollboration,anddynamic updates",with a focus on three key dimensions: expanding standards coverage,improving end-to-end standards chains,and enhancig standards for population-specific adaptation.The findings not only provide practical guidance for advancing standardization inthe sports industrybutalsoofertheoreticalinsightsfor improving public safety governance insports.
