Research on the cleaning bethods of radioactive liquid storage tanks based on ALARA

Abstract:In response tothe chalenges of cleaning radioactive liquid storage tanks in nuclear power plants,including difficultyin cleaning,high costs,inconvenience,and exposure tohigh radiation dosesduring thecleaning process,this study adopts the“ALARA(As Low As Reasonably Achievable)”principle as its guiding policy.The primary objective is to effctivelyaddressthe diffculties associated with the routine maintenance and overhaul of radioactive storage tanks.Itcan save a great deal of manpower and material resources,and achieve optimal radiation control.A mobile cleaning device designed utilizing high-pressure water jets is proposed.The design concept of this device integrates remote control and automatic rotating cleaning functions,with allparts operating in coordination,achieving easy operationand adaptability tocomplex environments.Itcan significantly reduce thetime personnel are exposed to radioactive liquid storage tanks,makingthe cleaning of storage tanks moreconvenient.Field tests were conducted on the storage tank cleaning,and the dose inside thetank was significantly reduced after cleaning.The results show thattheuse of amobile cleaning device with high-pressure jets can effctivelyreduce theradiation dose levels in radioactive liquid storage tanks.

核电站正常运行过程中会产生放射性废液,随着时间延长,用于接收诸如含有硼酸的放射性液体[1]的贮罐内壁容易沉积含放射性的杂质,其中包含大量如K-42、Na-24、H-3、I-135、Cs-139等放射性核素[2],造成水箱放射性水平逐年升高,在水箱隔离检修时,将造成维修人员受到过多剂量照射,对人员健康产生不利影响[3],且不符合放射性工作剂量“ALARA”合理可行尽量低的要求。(剩余4631字)
