Study on optimization of fly ash/mineral slag powder double mixing ratio for large-volume cushion cap for bridges

Abstract:Inorder toobtain the mixtureratioof low-hydration heat concretesuitable for the constructionof largevolume cushion capof bridges,the indoor heatof hydration testofflyash-slag powder-cement cementitious material was carriedout,andthe effcts of diffrentflyash-slag powdermixtures ontheconcrete properties werefurther studiedaccording to the testresults.Teresults showed thattheadditionofflyash and slag powder admixture to cement could significantlyreduce therelease of hydrationheatofcementitiousmaterials,and the hydration heatof cement cementitious materials was the lowest when double mixing 15% fly ash and 15% slag powder.A large proportion of flyash and slag powder could improve the working performance of concrete,reduce the release of hydration heat, and meet the requirements of 6O d concrete compressive strength.When 15% fly ash and 15% slag powder were mixed into concrete,the cracking resistance and carbonization resistance were the best,and the hydration heat was thesmallst,which was suitable for the cementitious material mix ratioin the large-volume concrete mix of bridge cap.
