Research on surface modification and performance enhancement of carbon fiber composites for ski equipment

Abstract:In order to improve the mechanical properties of carbon fiber composites for ski equipment,the surface modificationofcarbon fibers was cariedout,the efects of polydopamine modification,nickel hydroxide modification and nickel hydroxide modification impregnated with polyethylenimine on the chemical composition and micromorphologyof carbon fiberswere studied,andthe interlaminar shear strength,transverse tensile properties,flexural strength and flexural modulus of unmodified and modified carbon fibers were compared and analyzed.The results showedthat after nickel hydroxidemodification,nickel hydroxide could be successfullyadsorbed to the surface of carbon fiber,and it would notberemoved after subsequent impregnated polyethylenimine treatment.Nickel hydroxide modified carbon fibers impregnated with polyethylenimine and nickel hydroxide modified carbon fibers could be sen to form athin protective filmonthe surface ofcarbon fibers.After the surface modification of the original carbon fiber,its mechanical properties were higher than that of the unmodified carbon fiber composite.
