Study on the improvement of fracture load strength of glued joints of dissimilar sports equipment

Abstract:In order to improve the bonding quality of composite materials for sports equipment,the bonding process of carbon fiber/aluminum plate glued joints was optimized by orthogonal test method,and the fracture morphology was observed.The results showed that the optimal ultrasonic vibration bonding process parameters of carbon fiber/aluminum plate glued joints were as follows: vibration position 25 mm,vibration amplitude 60μm , vibration pressure 0.5 MPa,and vibration time 25s.The fracture load and bonding strength ofthe carbon/aluminum plate bonding joint were significantly improved after orthogonal optimization compared with those without vibration,and the fractureloadand bonding strength of thecarbon/aluminum plate bonding jointundertheorthogonaloptimizationprocess were 142.13% and 141.59% of those of the carbon/aluminum plate bonding joint under the non-vibration process , respectively. Defects such as cracks and small holes could be seen between the adhesive layer and the carbon fiber plate at the section of theadhesive layer of the carbon fiber/aluminum plate adhesive joint without vibration,while the connection between the adhesive layerand the carbon fiber plate at the section oftheorthogonallyoptimized carbon fiber/aluminum plate adhesive joint for sports equipment was relatively tight,and no obvious cracks,holes and other defects were found,and the adhesive quality was good.
