Study on the effect of anaerobic adhesive on curing speed, storage stability and adhesive strength

Abstract:Epoxy acrylate and monomer were preferably selected asthe main raw materials,fumed silica was used as areinforcing fillr,supplemented by initiators,accelerators,stabilizersand chelating agents andother functionaladditives to develop a stable and fast-curing threadlocking anaerobic adhesive.The efects of acrylic resin and monomer mixture,accelerator stabilizer type and initiator dosage on the curing speed,adhesive strength and storage performance of threadlocking anaerobic adhesive were investigated.The results showed that the anaerobic adhesive prepared byusing the compound of bisphenol A dimethacrylate,epoxy acrylate and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate as the main material,phenylhydrazine as the accelerator and initiator lauroyl peroxide was 3% ,the curing speed of the anaerobic adhesive was 5min ,and the strength of the bonding damage torque was 36.5 N ·m. When hydroquinone and tetrasodium EDTA are used together,the anaerobic adhesive has good stabilityand does not gel when stored in an oven at 808C for 12h
