Research on the Optimization and Standardization of Detection Technology for Total Dissolved Solids in Drinking Water

Abstract: Inorder to improve theaccuracy,effciencyand standardizationof thedetection of totaldissolved solids (TDS)in drinking water,a fast detection path combining temperature compensation optimization and random forest regression modeling by conductivity method was constructed. The nonlinear temperature compensation model and the random forest regresion algorithm were introduced to solve the problems of large errors and poor adaptability oftraditional detection methods under different water temperaturesand complex water quality conditions, andanintegrated portable detection terminal is designed toachieve rapid application inthe field.On this basis, combined with the domestic and foreign drinking water quality standards,a standardized operation process covering sampling,pretreatment,testing,data procesingand result interpretation wasconstructed.Experimental results show thatthe proposed technical scheme is superior to the traditional method in terms of detectionaccuracy,repeatability anddataconsistency, especially inthe ruralscattered watersource scenario.This studycanprovide afeasible path for the engineering and standardization of TDS detection technology, which has high promotion and application value.
