Analysis of Microbial Indicator Testing Results for Urban and Rural Drinking Water in Shunqing District， Nanchong City from 2020 to 2024

Abstract： Objective： To understand the current situation of microbial contamination in urban and rural drinkingwater in Shunqing district，Nanchongcity，and toprovideascientific basis forstrengtheningthehygiene and safety management of drinking Water in the region. Method： The collection of water samples and the detection of microbial indicators were carried out in accordance with the GB/T 5750 series standards.The detection results of microbial indicators were determined in accordance with the GB 5749—2006 or GB 5749—2022.Result： There was astatistically significant diffrence in the qualified rateof microbial indicators in water samplesof Shunqing district，Nanchong city in different years from 2020 to 2024 Q2=22.956 ， P<0.001 ）. There was a statistically significant diffrence in the qualified rate of microbial indicators between the dry season and the wet season （χ2=15.633，χ<0.001） .There was a statistically significant difference in the qualified rate of microbial indicators between municipal centralized water supply and rural centralized water supply α2=29.235 P<0.001 ）. Conclusion： The qualified rateof microbial indicators in urban andruraldrinking water in Shunqing district，Nanchong city has improved yearbyyear from 2020 to 2O24. However，itisstillnecessaryto accelerate the improvementofrural water treatment processes and strengthen the management of drinking water disinfection.
