Effectsof Dexmedetomidine-assisted Sedation on Anesthesia and Postoperative Sleep Quality in General Anesthesia Patients

AbstractObjective：Toanalyzetheefectsofdexmedetomidine-asistedsedation inpatientsundergoing generalanesthesia. Methods：Atotalof8Ogeneralanesthesiapatients treatedatJi'nanThirdPeople'sHospital fromOctober2O22toOctober2023 were enrolled in the study and randomly divided into a control group（ n=40 ）and an observation group（ n=40 ）. The control groupreceived propofolanesthesia，whiletheobservationgroupreceiveddexmedetomidine-asistedsedationinaditiontothecontrol group'sprotocol.Anestheticeficacyandslepqualitywerecomparedbetweenthe twogroups.Results：Onpostoperativedays 1，3，and7，theAthensInsomnia Scale（AIS）scoresoftheobservationgroupweresignificantlylowerthanthoseofthecontrol group（ P<0.05） .At 15 minutes and 3O minutes post-extubation，Ramsay sedation scores difered significantly between the two groups （ P<0.05 ）. On the day of surgery，postoperative day 7，and the day before discharge，the Pitsburgh Sleep Quality Index （PSQI） scores of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group（ P<0.05 ） . Conclusion：Dexmedetomidie-asistedsedationdemonstratesideal efects ingeneralanesthesiaandsignificantlyimprovespatients’sleepquality， making it a valuable addition to clinical practice.
