Abstract:Thisstudy focusesonthecolors in GeorgiaO'Keefe'sfloral art,exploring howsheuses themtoconstructaunique visuallanguage system,makingthemthecorecarrier forconveying emotions andperceptionsof ife.OKefeuses intenseand richcolortoshocktheviewer'seyes,demonstratingthevitalityofcolos themselves,andconveysthoughtsaboutexisteceand disappearance through the subtle gradationsofgrayand white.Shepaintsflowers large,forcing viewers togetclose and look carefully.Theclose-upperspective turns ordinaryflowers into windows forfeling the depth oflife.Inher hands,colorsare notonlyvisualelementsbutalsoanindependentlanguageforexpressingtemperatureandemotions,transformingstillifefrom simpledecorationintoacarrerof thespirit.OKeffe'scolorpracticelaidamethodologicalfoundationforsubseqentartists, elevatingcolorfromanauxiliaryelementtothemainsubjectofartisticexpressionandtuingflowersfrommerevisualobjects into symbols carrying thoughts about life.
