Abstract:Theapplicationofcolors inindustrialproducts needstosimultaneouslymeetthedualgoalsoffunctionalrequirements andbrandexpresion,butinactaldesign,thesetofteconflict.ByirtueofroductIdentity(P)theorythispaperdivides thecolorsystemintothreedimensions:thebasiclayer,thesemanticlayer,andtheapplicationlayer.Combined withananalysis of thecolor parameters ofXCMG'score products,it sortsoutthelogical chainof itscolordesign.Thestudyfinds that XCMG achievesabalancebetweenindustrystandardsandbranddiferentiationbyfine-tuning thelightnessandpurityofyellowat the basiclayer;atthesemanticlayer,ituses highcontrastcolor matchingtoconveyasenseofpower,andexpandssemantics suchas environmentalprotectionandtechnologythroughauxiliarycolors;attheapplicationlayer,itadjuststhcolortexture and proportion according totheusagescenariosofdiferent products.These strategieshave helped XCMGestablishadistinct brand identitywhileensuringsafetyfunctions,providingareferentialpracticalpath forindustrial brands tobreak throughcolor homogenization.
