Abstract：Asfestivalcelebrationactivitiesdrawincreasingatentionfrompeople，lanterns，asanindispensabledecorative element，notonlyaddcolortothefestival visuallbutalsoconveyspecificemotionsandatmospheres throughtheingenious use ofcolors.Basedonthetheoryofcolorpsychology，thispaperexplores theappicationofcolorinthedesignoffestivallanterns anditsnfluenceonthefestivalatmosphereandanalzestecharacteristicsandefectsofcolorinthedesignoffestivallaterns Basedonculturalcompatibilityasthefoundation，visualcomfortasthecore，anddynamicinteractionandenvironmental protectiontechnologyastheinnovationdirection，weesurethatthedesignoffestivallanternsnotonlymeetsemotionalneeds butalsois scientificandsustainable，withtheexpectationofprovidingatheoreticalbasisforfuturelanterndesignandpromoting theinnovationand improvement of lantern design in festival activities.
