Comparative Study on Charging Performance of Electric Vehicle under Different Ambient Temperatures*

【Abstract】 Four kinds of ambient temperature 40% , 25°C , 0∘C and -10% were selected,under which the test vehicle was charged from 10% SOC 100% SOC to compare the influence of ambient temperature on the charging performance of the electric vehicle.The experimental results show that the lower the temperature under low-temperature environment, the longer the total charging time is.Under -10% environment, the charging time is greater than 0% While under and 40% environment, the total charging time is almost equal and less than -10∘C and 0% .There is no significant diferencefor the totalcharging energyunder diferent environmental temperature conditions.The lower the temperatureunder low-temperature environment,the lower theaverage charging rate during theentire charging process. The average charging rate under -10∘C is smaller than 0% . While under 25°C , the average charging rate is larger than 40% ,and the both of which are significantly larger than 0∘C and -10*C.WhenSOC is fully charged to 100% , maximum temperature of the battery under different ambient temperature conditions is almost the same.
