Abstract：Thisarticle takes thechromolithographsofthelate19th-centuryFrenchNabis painterEdouard Vuillardas the researchobject，exploringtherelationshipbetweenhis inheritanceandinnovationof thecolorspectrumofJapaneseUkiyo-e master Hokusai.Throughiconographiccomparison，stylisticanalysis，andtechnical investigation，thisarticlefindsthat Vuild absorbed Hokusai's non-desciptivecolor，flat treatment，andseparationoflines andcolors，whicharecharacteristicsofEastern aesthetics，and integrated them with the subjective expression and decorative concept of the Nabis， forming a unique modern colorlaguage.Theresearchshows that Hokusaiscolorspectrum，through Vuillrdscreative transformation，has influenced the developmentpathofWesternmodernart，reflectingthedepthandcomplexityofartisticexchangesbetweenEastandWest.This study provides a new perspective for understanding the cross-cultural origins of modern art.
