The Blazeof Expressionand the Cipherof Symbolism： Onthe Convergenceand Divergence ofColorFunction ir Expressionist and Symbolist Oil Paintings

Abstract： To reveal the dual paradigms ofcolor language in therevolution of modern painting，this paper analyzes the fundamentaldiferences between Expressonismand Symbolism in theconstructionofcolor function.The former transforms coloritoa direct vehicle foremotionaloutbursts，while the latter endows color with semiotic atributes thatlead toa transcendent world.It explores how the two schools achieved the ontological liberation of color through different paths： Expresionismpursued theimmediatereleaseof primitive vitalitywhereas Symbolismconstructedamysticalsystemofmeaning encoding.The study also investigates howdigital media extends these twocolor traditions—algorithmic art translatesemotions into parameter weights，while virtual space enables the technological reconstructionofsynesthetic experiences.
