Abstract: Taking the Cross-border WaterResources course asanexample,theauthorsproposeareform plan forthe process-basedassessmentofgeneralelectivecourses.Theyelaborateindetailontheadvantages,necesstyandimplementation detailsofthisessmentmodelandstrietobreaktelmitatiosofthtradiionalessmentmodelinvaluatingudents learningefectsofgeneralelectivecoursesthroughteachingreform.Aftertwosemestersofimplementation,theauthorsfindthat theprocess-basedassessmentmethodsignificantlyenlivenedtheclasromatmosphere,enhancedtheabsorptionandmasteryof knowledge,improvedteachingefectiveness,andwasconducivetoachievingtheteachinggoalsof generalelectivecourses.Based onthis,theauthorshaveputforwardsuggestionsforthecontinuousimprovementofgeneralelectivecourses.Thiseducational reform thesis is of great significance for cultivating innovative and diversified talents.
