Abstract： Taking the Cross-border WaterResources course asanexample，theauthorsproposeareform plan forthe process-basedassessmentofgeneralelectivecourses.Theyelaborateindetailontheadvantages，necesstyandimplementation detailsofthisessmentmodelandstrietobreaktelmitatiosofthtradiionalessmentmodelinvaluatingudents learningefectsofgeneralelectivecoursesthroughteachingreform.Aftertwosemestersofimplementation，theauthorsfindthat theprocess-basedassessmentmethodsignificantlyenlivenedtheclasromatmosphere，enhancedtheabsorptionandmasteryof knowledge，improvedteachingefectiveness，andwasconducivetoachievingtheteachinggoalsof generalelectivecourses.Based onthis，theauthorshaveputforwardsuggestionsforthecontinuousimprovementofgeneralelectivecourses.Thiseducational reform thesis is of great significance for cultivating innovative and diversified talents.
