Abstract:Asaneweducationalmodelintegratinginternational Chineseeducationandvocationaleducation,"Chinese + Vocational Skill"isaninevitableresultofthestrongdemandforcompoundtechnicalandskiledlocaltalentsinthe transformationanddevelopmentofinternationalChineseeducationandthecontinuousadvancementof"theBeltandRoad Initiative".Through an analysis ofthe learning needs for"Chinese + Vocational Skills" among 185 Chinese learners from the NationalUniversityofLaosandotherinstitutions,thedatashowsthattheChineseproficiencyandeconomicinvestmentin Chinese learning of Laouniversity students have a significant impact on their learning needs for "Chinese + Vocational Skills". Intermsof targetneeds,employmentandexistingjobrequirementsarethemainmotivationsforLaouniversitylearnerstochose "Chinese + Vocational Skills"courses.Studentshope toachieve thesetargetneedsbyimproving their Chinese listeningand speaking abilities.The main diffculties faced by Lao college students in learning "Chinese + Vocational Skills" courses include: excesively high diffcultyin Chinese languageand professional courses;lack of teaching resources for "Chinese + Vocational Skill";ndtheabsenceofaChineselearningatmosphereinLaos.Theseisuescanbeaddressedbystrengtheningmacro-policy supportandestablishingmultilateralcoperationmechanisms;improvinginstitutionalmanagementsystemsandoptimizingthe structure of course supply,, among other measures.
