Abstract：Disciplinesandspecialtiesarethecoreofthehighereducationsystem，providingthefundamentalplatformforthe promotionofscientificresearchandthetalenttraining.Investigatingtheinteelationshipbetweendisciplinesandspecialisisvery importanttooptimizeandadjustthelayoutofdisciplinesandspecialtiesimproveintegrateddevelopmentofdisciplinesand specialtes，andnhancethenewqualityproductiveforcesofhghereducationinstitution.Teinconsistentcorespondenceetween disciplinesandspecialtyisfirstlystudied.Andthenhowtoaplycontingencytheorytoanalyzethestructureofdisciplinesand specialtyinthehighereducationinstiutionisexplored.Anempiricalresearchisdevelopedtousethecontingencytheoryto analyzethedisciplinesandspecialtyofZhengzhouUniversity.Finally，apathisproposedforimprovingthequalityproductive forcesofhighereducationinstitutionfromthreeaspects，ie.theintegratingdisciplinesandspecialties，improving"fournew" speciaties，establishingtheevaluationmechanismofdisciplinesandspeciaties.Thepurposeofthestudyistoprovidethe successful experiences and methodology for making the new qualityproductive forces for higher education institution.
