Abstract： Objective： To analyze the intervention efect of auricular point seed pressing based on probing stick twist on elderly patients with constipation.Methods：A total of90 elderly patients with constipation admited to Nanchong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2024 to October 2024 were randomly divided into the control group，thetreatment group 1 and the treatment group 2， with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with dietcombined with ceramide，the treatment group1 was treated with conventional intervention of auricular point seed pressng，and the treatment group 2 was treated with probing stick twist plus auricular point seed pressing. The improvement of constipation，treatment eficiency and safety of the three groups were compared.Results： The constipation scores of the treatment group 2 were lower than those of the treatment group l and the control group 3 and 7 days after treatment （P<0.05） ; The effective rate of the treatment group 2 was higher than that of the treatment group 1 and the control group.The adversereaction rate ofthe treatment group 2 was lower than that ofthe treatment group 1 and thecontrol group.Conclusion： The standardized auricular point seed pressing method based on probing stick twist hasagood effectonconstipation inthe elderly，whichcanshortenthe timeofconstipation improvement，and is safe and reliablewith clinical application value.
