Abstract： Objective：To analyze the curative effect and safetyofstandardized nursing program in elderly patients with type2 diabetes mellitus （T2DM）.Methods：A total of 80 elderly patients with T2DM admited to Jinchang People's Hospital of Gansu Province from January 2022 to December 2023 were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group， with 40 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing and the observation group received standardized nursing.The incidence ofadverse events， medication compliance before and after nursing， and psychological status score were compared between the two groups.Results： After 21 days of nursing，MMAS8 scores increased and SAS and SDS scores decreased in the two groups，and the degree of change in the observation group was greater than that in the control group （P<0.05） . The incidence of adverse events in the observation group was lower than that in the control group （P<0.05） .Conclusion：The standardized nursing program can further improve the medication compliance of elderly patients withT2DM，improve the psychological state，reducethe occurrenceof adverse events，and has high efficacy and safety.
