【Abstract】 This paper takes the 2O19 FAW-Volkswagen Magotan B8 as the research object. Firstly， it elaborates on its working principle from three aspects： the anti-theft system （including the entry system and the starting system），theoperationof the starter，and engine ignition.Then，incombinationwith the 2O24 Shandong Province Vocational College SkillsCompetition Automotive Technology Event forhigher vocational group，itconducts research onfault diagnosisand elimination.Finaly，throughtheanalysis ofrelevant faults，the troubleshooting ideasof the contestants forsuch faults were summarized，providing new methodsand ideas for the diagnosis and eliminationof automotive faults for other learners.
