Abstract：Inthecurrntnewsituation，therehasbeenasignificanttransformationintheideologicalandpoliticalducation landscapeofprofesionalcoursesinhighereducationinstitutions.Educatorswidelyrecognizetheimportanceofimplementing ideologicalandpoliticaleducationwithinspecializedcourses.TakingtheIntroductiontoFrictioncourse，whichisthefocusof thispaper，asanexample，thiscoursebelongstothegraduateprograminmaterialsengineeringathigherengineringand technicalinstitutions，possesingprofoundfoundationalknowledgeandadvancedcontent，servingasacompulsorycoursefor graduatestudentsinthefieldoffriction.Againstthebackdropofthenewengineringeducation，thecourseintegratesideological andpolicaleducationthroughouttheteachingprocessdeeplyexploringtheideologicalandpoliticalelementswithinthe IntroductiontoFrictioncourse．Itrefinestheconstructionoftheteachingplanwithanemphasisonapplication-orientedleaning， blendingtheorywithpractice，continuallyoptimizingteachingmethodsandcontent.Thishassignificantlyenhancedthe effectivenessofthecourse，contributingtotheimprovementofstudentsresearchcapabilities，andprovidingvaluableinsightsfor the development and reform of relevant professional courses in the new engineering education.
