Abstract:Asglobalconcemnoverclimatechangeintensifies,China hasclearlydefinedits "DualCarbon"Goals-carbonpeak andcarbonneutrality-asstrategicguidanceforthenation'stransitiontoanecologicalciviliation.Thisshiftpresentsnew chalengestothehighereducationsystem,namelytheneedtocultivatetalentswhocanadapttoanddrivethischange.This paperdiscusseshowcolegesanduniversitiescantransitionfromthemoderneducationalparadigm toonethatalignswiththe constructionofanecologicalcivilization，particularlyanalyzingthecriticalroleandchalengesfacedbytheenvironmental engineeringdisciplineinthisprocess，andproposescorespondingimplementationstrategiestoadvancethe"DualCarbon"Goals. Amongtheimplementationstrategies，akeydirectionistostrengthencooperationwithindustries，creatinginternshipsandjob opportuniesthatenablestudentstolearnandapplytheirknowledgeinpractice,whilealsoinvolvingenterprisesinthedesignof coursecontentandteachingplanstonsurethealignmentofeducationalcontentwithpracticalneds.Aditionaly，collgesand universitiesshouldactivelypromoteinteationalcooperation,fosteringacademicexchangesandjointresearchprojectstobroaden students'horizonsanddeepentheirunderstandingofandstrategiesforglobalenvironmentalisues.Theseefortscannotonly assistChinainachievingits"DualCarbon"objectivesbutalsocultivatefutureleaderswhocanplayasignificantroleinglobal environmental governance.
