Bearing Fault Diagnosing Based on POA-VMD and Comprehensive Screening Index

Abstract:Inordertodiagnosecoalminebearingwithmoreaccuracy,thebearing faultdiagnosis method basedonPOA-VMD and comprehensive screening index is proposed. Aimed at the two parameters K and α which have great influence on decompositioneffectin VMD,thebugsleading tothepoordecompositioneffctofvibrationsignalaresoughtoutbyexperience. The POA algorithm is used to automatically optimize the K and α ,obtaining the two optimal parameter combination of the maximized VMDdecompositionperformance,and the POA-VMDis appliedtodecomposethe bearing vibrationsignal.Regarding the pooraccuratefault feature extractioncausedbytheselectionofcomponents basedonasingle index,theoptimal component afterdecompositionisdetermined withthecomprehensivescreening indexesof intercoection,kurtosisandrelativeetropy. And the Hilbertmethodisusedtoprocesstheoptimalcomponent,extractthefaultfeaturesandrealizethebearing fault diagnosis.The experimental results show that the bearing fault diagnosis method based on POA-VMD and comprehensive screningindex,incomparison withtheconventionalVMDmethodandthesingleindexselectioncomponentone,hasbetefault diagnosis effect.
