Research on IMC-PID Heating Furnace Temperature Control Based on PSO Algorithm

Abstract:Thetemperatureof theheatingfurnacehascharacteristicsof nonlinearityandlarge hysteresis,withmanydisturbance factors,andtraditionalPIDcontrolersandtheirparametertuningmethodssuferinsuficiencesinmeetingtherequirementsof rapidheating andnonovershoot processcontrol.Thisarticle proposes anIMC-PIDcascadecontrolmethodbasedontheParticle SwarmOptimization(PSO)algorithm.Interalmodelcontroltheoryisaplidtoimprovethemaincontroller,andPSOalgorithm isusedtooptimizeandtune thecontrolerparameters toupgradethetracking performanceandanti-interferenceperformanceof thecontrolsystem.Numericalsimulationsareconductedtoverifytheefectivenessofthedesignedcontrolsystemincotroling the temperature of the heating furnaceunder model matching and mismatch conditions (parameters k , T , τ Effectiveness and feasibility under uniform perturbation of 20% )with fast response and low overshoot characteristics.
