Abstract：Thelateral vibration behaviorof elevator being theresearch object，thephysicalmodel，mechanicalmodeland mathematical modelintheprocessof movementareestablished.Thedimensionlessequations inmotionarederived，andthe mathematical model isnumericallysimulatedbythefourth-order Runge-Kuta method.BythephasediagramandPoincarécross sectiondiagram，themultiplierbifurcationandHopf bifurcationareanalyzed inelevatormotionatdiferentfrequencies，andthe specificparametersofHopf enteringchaosaregiven.With theresearchonparameters，themethodofreducing thelateral vibrationofelevatorisgiven，whichprovidesatheoreticalreferencefortheresearchoflateral vibrationofelevatorandhe optimization of elevator vibration.
