Abstract：WiththeshortageofwaterresouresndtheincreasingdemandforenvironmentalprotectioninChina，thermalpower plants，as major wateranddrainageusers，arefacing increasinglyprominentwaterandenvironmentalproblems.Wastewater treatmentandcomprehensiveutilizationareveryimportantaspects，thecomprehensiveutilizationofwastewaterandtherealiation of wastewaterresouceutilizationcannotonlysave waterandoperatingcosts，butalsoreducetheimpactofexternaldrainage onthereceivingenvironment，itssocialandeconomicbenefitsaresignificant.Basedonthetypesofwastewatergeneratedby thermalpowerplants，theideaofseparatingcleananddirtywaterandcascadeutilzationisproposed，andthewastewatersource utilization planis designed to promotethe gradedtreatmentandrecyclingof wastewaterinthermal power plants.
