Research on the Preparation of CIG Alloy Powder by VIGA Method

Abstract:Inresponse totheproblemofsegregationduringthemeltingofCu-In-Ga(CIG)alloy,high-purityCIGalloy powderispreparedbyVacuum Induction-meltingGasAtomization (VIGA)using high-purity metal elements Cu,In,and Gaas raw materials under the conditions of atomization medium (argon) pressure of 6.5 MPa,temperature of ,and melting temperature of 1200 .The results show that the impurity content of CIG alloy powder does not exceed 0.01% ,the sphericityisgood,theelementdistributionisuniform,andthereisnoobvioussegregationphenomenon.CIGalloypowder consistsoftwoparts,oneisCu-GaalloyandtheotherisIn,andCu-Gaalloywithlowercontentisuniformlydistributedin flakes on the surface of In,andthe atomic ratioof Cu,In,and Ga does not deviate from the ratio of Lum0.7Ua0.3>e2 by more than O.O3,they can be used as raw materials for preparing Cu(InxGa1-x)Se2 (CIGS) thin film solar cells.
