Concentration Characteristics and Source Apportionment of VOCs in Autumn in Fuling District of Chongqing

Abstract:Usinganonlinegas chromatographycontinuous monitoring system,56VolatileOrganicCompounds (VOCs)were monitoredonlineinFuling District,Chongqingfrom August4thto August19th,2O23.Theresults showedthattheaverage detected mass concentration of VOCs in Fuling District during the monitoring period was 13.209×10-9 .The Ozone FormationPotential(OFP)of VOCsisestimatedbythe Maximum Incremental Reactivity(MIR).Theaverage estimated potential for the generation of Secondary Organic Aerosol (SOA) is 20.638μg/m3 .Using the Positive Matrix Factorization (PMF) model,fourfactorswerederived,amelypetrochemicalsoures,utomotiveeustources,ologicalourcs,ndfuel volatilizationsources,withpetrochemical sourcesandautomotiveexhaustsources contributingsignificantly.Therefore,itis necessrytofocusonthecontrolofactivitiesrelated topetrochemicalfuels,suchasroadtrafic,shipoilproductsandgas stations.
