Research on the Detection of Chromium Content in Soil Samples by Inductively Coupled Plasma - Optical Emission Spectroscopy

Abstract:AmethodisestablishedfordetectingchromiumcontentinsoilsamplesbasedonInductivelyCoupledPlasma-Optical EmisionSpectroscopy(ICP-OES),thechromiumpolutionstatusofsoil isevaluated inacertainarea,thusprovidingscientificbasis forenvironmentalmonitoringandpolutionpreventionandcontrol.Afterdrying,crushing,andsieving thesoil samples,thechromiumcontent isdtectedusing microwavedigestionandICP-OES,andtheaccuracy,precision,andeliabilityofthe methodare verifiedthroughdrawing standardcurves,spikedrecoverytests,andrepeatabilitytests.Theresults show that the linear regression equation of the standard curve is I=1 256.3C+12.4,with a correlation coefficient R2 =0.9998 and a linear range of 0.1~10.0mg/L .The chromium content in soil samples is 38.7~56.1mg/kg ,withanaverage of 47.4 mg/kg,which does not exceed the national soil environmental quality standard limit 250mg/kg . The recovery rate of spiked samples is 95.6%~ 102.3% ,and the Relative Standard Deviation (RSD) is 1.2%~2.5%,indicating the accuracy and reliabilityof the method.TheestablishedICP-OESmethod is suitableforrapidandaccurate detectionofchromium contentinsoil.Theoverall chromiumcontentinthesoiloftheregionis withinasaferange,butsomeareasareclosetothe warning value and require further monitoring to prevent potential environmental risks.
