Experimental Study on the Determination of Acrolein and Acrylonitrile in Water by Purge and Trap-Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

Abstract:The method foranalyzingacroleinandacrylonitrilein surface waterand industrial wastewater is established by optimizing the purge and trap conditions and using purge and trap-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.The experimentalresults indicate that there isagoodlinearrelationshipbetweenacroleinandacrylonitrile.Thedetectionlimits for acroleinand acrylonitrile are and 0.4μg/L ,respectively,with relative standard deviations of 0.67%~1.95% (20 and 0.75%~ 1.96% ,respectively,the recovery rates of blank samples are 95.8%~ 103.0% and 98.2%~ 102.0% , respectively, the recovery rates of surface water samples are 102%~104% and 104%~108% ,respectively,the recovery rates of industrial wastewater samples are 98.4%~ 104.0% and 103%~109% ,respectively.This method has significant advantages,suchas shorttimeconsumption,good separation effect,lowdetectionlimit,and good repeatability.
