[Abstract]Objective： To explore the diffrences inauditory function，speech recognition，auditorydiscomfort and qualityof lifeamong people with diferent hearing screening results in health examination.Method：A total of 500 adults who underwent health examinationatthe Health Management Centerof Jilin City Hospitalof Chemical Industry from December 2O24 to June 2025 were selected and divided into the positive screening group （n=125）and the negative screening group n =375） according to the pure tone hearing screening results.The differences between the two groups in terms of auditory threshold，speech recognition，auditory discomfort symptoms and the quality of life were compared，and conduct statistical analysis.Result：The auditory thresholds of the positive screening group at frequencies of 250， 500， and 1，000Hz were significantly higher than those of the negative screening group

一 P <0.05）.The proportions of patients with correct word recognition，sentence comprehension and speech recognition in noise in the positive screening group were significantly lower than those in the negative screening group （P<0.05） The tinnitus intensity，auditory hypersensitivity and sound localization error in the positive screening group were significantly higher than those in the negative screening group （ P <0.05）.The scores of the hearing handicap inventory for elderly-screening （HHIE-S）and the frequency of social avoidance in the positive screening group were significantly higher than those in the negativescreening group，thescoreof emotional distresswas lower than that in the negative screening group （ P <0.05）. Conclusion： Among the population undergoing health examination， individuals with positivepure tone hearing screening resultsare significantlyinferior to thosewith negative results in terms of hearing sensitivity，speech recognition，auditorydiscomfortand qualityof life，suggestingthatabnormal hearing has a certain impact on hearing-related functions and quality of life.
