[Abstract] Objective： To explore the application of causal analysis-oriented preventive nursing integrated intervention in elderly patients undergoing prostate surgery.Method：A total of16O elderly patients who underwent prostate surgeryatLongyan First Hospital Afliated toFujian Medical University from May 2O23 to February 2025 were selected as the research subjects.They were randomly divided into two groups，with 8O cases in each group. The control group received routine care，while the observation group was given causal analysis-oriented preventive

nursing integrated intervention on the basis ofthe control group. Both groups were cared for until before discharge. The postoperative related recovery indicators，qualityof life （SF-36 score），degres of anxiety and depression （SAS and SDS scores），and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.Result： The time of the first spontaneous urinationandthe timeof geting outofbedforactivities intheobservation group were earlier than those inthe control group，the urine output 24 hours after the operation in the observation group was morethan that in the control group，the duration of urinary incontinence and the length of hospital stay inthe observation group were shorter than those in the control group （ P <0.05）.After the nursing care，the scores of all dimensions of SF-36 in the observation group werehigher than those in the control group，whilethe scores ofSASand SDS werelower than those in the control group （ P <0.05）.The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group （ P <0.05）. Conclusion： The causal analysis-oriented preventive nursing integrated intervention for elderly patients undergoing prostate surgery can significantly accelerate postoperative recovery，improve thequality of life，and reduce the degree of anxiety and depression as wellas the occurrence of complications.
