[Abstract] Objective： To investigate the therapeutic efect of Sodium Zirconium Cyclosilicate Powder on short term potassium reduction treatment in maintenance hemodialysis （MHD） patients with hyperkalemia （HK）. Method： The case data of 104 patients with MHD-HK in the Blood Purification Roomof Lianjiang People's Hospital from March 2O22 to March 2O24 were retrospectively colected and divided into two groups according to diferent treatment methods.Thecontrol group （52cases）received conventional hemodialysis treatment and dietarycontrol， while theobservation group （52 cases）was treated with Sodium Zirconium Cyclosilicate Powder onthe basis of the control group.Both groups received continuous treatment for 4 weeks.The blood potassium levels，related electrolyte

indicators，hemoglobin，renal functionandqualityoflifeofthe two groups werecompared.Result：After treatment，the blood potassium level in the observation group was （ 4.02±0.51 ） mmol/L，which was lower than （4.81±0.88） mmol/L in the control group P<0.05） .After treatment，there were no statistically significant differencesin the levels of blood sodium，bloodcalcium，blood magnesium，hemoglobin，endogenous creatinineclearancerate，serum creatinine，and blood urea nitrogen between the two groups （ P >0.05）. After treatment， the physical function score [（73.39±6.23） （2 points]，psychological function score [（75.28±7.12） points]， social function score[ （76.95±7.04） points]， and material life score[ （80.08±8.31 ） points] of the observation group were higher than those of the control group P （69.45±6.11 ） （70.21±6.56 ） （72.13±7.28） ， （75.18±6.44） points] （P<0.05） .Conclusion：Sodium Zirconium Cyclosilicate Powdercaneffectivelyreduce theblood potassiumlevelsofMHD-HK patients，inthe short term，ithas no effecton theblood sodium，blood calcium，blood magnesium，hemoglobin levels，andrenal functionof patients， and has a certain improvement effect on their quality of life.
