[Abstract] Objective: To investigate the efect of vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) combined with growth factor inthe treatment of diabetic foot ulcer.Method:Atotal of7O patients with diabetic foot ulcerinthe Second Afiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from May 2O24 to May 2O25 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, with 35 cases in each group. Both groups were given conventional management, debridement and dressing change. The control group was treated with growth factor, while the observation group was combined with VSD on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated continuously for 3 weeks. The treatment effect, the ulcer healing onset time and the appearancetime ofnew epithelium, the ulcer area, pain degree (VAS score), laboratory indexes [TNF- α ,IL-6, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)] and quality of life (SF-36 score)before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Result: After treatment, the levels of TNF- α ,IL-6,ulcer area and VAS score in both groups decreased compared with those before treatment, whileVEGF and the scores of each dimensionof SF-36 increased compared with those before treatment, and those of the observation group were better than those of the control group ( P <0.05). Compared with the control group, the ulcer healing onsettime and the appearance time of new epithelium in the observation group were earlier ( P <0.05). Compared with the control group, the total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher ( P <0.05). Conclusion: VSD combined with growth factorhas a goodefect in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer, which can reduce the inflammatory level of patients, promote the healing of ulcer woundand relieve the pain of patients, and improve the quality of life of patients.
