[Abstract] Objective： To explore the impact of targeted nursing based on the solution-focused approach on patients with rheumatoid arthritis.Method： The study included 22O patients with rheumatoid arthritis admited to Ganzhou People's Hospital from June 2O21 to June 2023.They were divided into a control group（110 patients）and an observation group （l1O patients）bycoin flipping.The control group received routine care，while the observation group received targeted nursing based on the solution-focused approach.The two groups were compared in terms of joint function，coping strategies [Chinese version of the medical coping modes questionnaire （MCMQ）l]， pain intensity[the1-pointpain intensitynumerical ratingscale （PI-NRS）]，abilitytoperformdailyactivities[activities of daily living scale（ADL），and symptom scores [symptom checklist-90 （SCL-9O）.Result：After intervention，the observation group had lower joint tendernessand joint swelling indices，and higher average grip strength for both hands compared to the control group （ P <0.05）; the observation group scored higherin the confrontation dimension and lower in the avoidance and surrender dimensions compared to the control group （ P <0.05）;the observation group also had lower PI-NRS score and higher ADL score compared to the control group （ P <0.05）; additionally， the symptom scores acrosall dimensions inthe observation group were significantlylower than those in the control group （ P <0.05）.Conclusion： Targeted nursing based on the solution-focused approach can significantly improve jointfunctionand pain levels in patients with rheumatoidarthritis，enhancetheir ability to perform dailyactivities， alleviate clinical symptoms，and promote more active coping strategies in patients.
