Abstract: This study addresses the disconnection between theory and practice and the lack of innovative capacity among students in the Microbiology course for Aquaculture majors through the implementation of inquiry-based teaching reform. By reconstructing teaching content, integrating diverse teaching methods such as PBL, flipped classroom, and project-based learning, establishing a multi-level experimental teaching system, and expanding practical platforms including industry-university cooperation and academic competitions, we have comprehensively enhanced students' professional knowledge acquisition, scientific research capabilities, and learning motivation. Teaching practice demonstrates that this model effectively promotes the development of students' innovative thinking and comprehensive qualities, providing valuable references for cultivating high-quality talent in the aquaculture field.
