Abstract： The rural revitalization strategy is an important measure for achieving agricultural and rural modernization and building a socialist modernized country in an all-round way. Vocational colleges， as the main platform for cultivating technical and skilled talents， shoulder the important missions of talent cultivation， value guidance， and serving the country in their ideological and political education. They are an important means to empower rural revitalization. Currently， in the process of empowering rural revitalization， the ideological and political education in vocational colleges faces practical challenges such as insufficient integration of educational content with rural needs， an incomplete collaborative education mechanism， and weak construction of practical education platforms， making it difficult to fully exert their educational effectiveness. To address this， vocational colleges can explore implementation paths by optimizing educational content， enhancing the synergy of education， and integrating educational resources， providing thoughts for better empowering rural revitalization through ideological and political education in vocational colleges.
