Abstract: To investigate pathways for improving villager participation mechanisms within the context of rural collective property rights system reform, this study employs a methodology combining literature review and problem analysis. Using domestic practices of villager participation in property rights reforms as case samples, it examines the forms, objectives, and scale of such participation. The results identify several prominent issues in the reform process, including a lack of internal motivation among villagers, absence of decision-making voice, and inadequate supervision and distribution mechanisms. Accordingly, this study proposes three optimized pathways: Firstly, utilizing interest-driven measures to increase villagers' property-based income; secondly, focusing on decentralization and empowerment to grant villagers substantive decision-making rights; and thirdly, establishing institutional safeguards to refine standardized participation mechanisms. The study aims to foster effective villager involvement in the rural collective property rights system reform, thereby enhancing its overall quality and efficacy.
