Abstract:Agriculturalmechanizationisacoresymbolof modernagricultural development,playinganimportantrolein enhancing theresilienceof theagricultural industrychainandpromotinghigh-qualityagriculturaldevelopment.Usingthe paneldataof31 provincialadministrativeregions in Chinese mainlandfrom 20l2 to2023,this paperempiricallexplores theimpactandmechanismofagricultural mechanizationontheresilienceofagriculturalindustrychain byusing thetwo-way fixedefectmodelandtheintermediaryefectmodel.The benchmarkregressonresultsindicate thatagricultural mechanizationhasa significantpromotingeffectontheresilienceof theagricultural industrychain,whichhaspassed variousrobustness testsincluding instrumental variable methods.Theresultsof theintermediaryregression indicate that thimprovementofagricultural productioneficiencyandtheenhancementofdisasterreductionandresistancecapabilitiesin farmlandare important pathways for agricultural mechanizationtopromote theresilienceof theagricultural industrychain. Theheterogeneityanalysisresultsindicatethattheimpactofagricultural mechanizationontheresilienceofthe agriculturalindustrychain variesindiferentregions,withtheorderofefectbeing,easternregion,Northeastregion, Northwest region,Central region,Southwestregion;northernregion,Southernregion.Thisstudy provides strong empiricalsupportand strategic guidance forthe highqualitydevelopmentand modernizationtransformationof agriculture in China,andhasimportanttheoreticalandpractical significanceforoptimizingagriculturalresource alocation, improving agricultural production eficiency,and enhancing the resilience of the agricultural industry chain.
