Abstract：Inresponsetothehighfailurerateandloweficiencyofpineapplemechanizedplantingcausedbythelargesize， numerousleaves，andhigh plantingdensityofpineaplesedlings，basedonthephysicalcharacteristicsof pineapplesedlingand therequirementsoftransplantingoperationtechnology，astraight-faling pineappletransplanter wasdesigned，whichcanmeet thestraight-fallngplantingoperationofpieappleseedingsonridges.According totheverticaldropplantingoperation process，amodulardesignapproach wasadoptedtodesigntheoverallstructureofthetransplanter，mainlyincludingtheseedling fedingdevice，furowing device，and soilcoveringdeviceandotherparts，torealizeanintegratedoperationprocessof soil breakingandfurowing，sedling planting，uniformsedlingdistribution，stablesedlingestablishment，andsoilcovering compaction，Meanwhile，bycombiningtheoreticalcalculationswith virtual design，thesizeparametersofeach keycomponent weredeterminedFinally，thephysicalprototypeprocesingandfieldtestedverificationwerecarredoutonthestraight-fallng pineapple transplanter. The field test results showed that when the operating speed was 0.25-0.35m/s ，the qualified rate of planting was ⩾91.16% ，the missing planting rate was ⩽1.1% ，the qualified rate of plant spacing was ⩾95. 03% ，the qualified rate of planting depth was 93.37% ，and the pure working hour productivity was .All the test indicatorsmetthedesignrequirementsThedevelopmentofthistransplantercanprovideareferenceforthedesignofstraight falling transplanter of the same type for other crops.
