Abstract:Toinvestigatetheinfluencingfactorsoftoolrotarycuttingperformance,acuttingmechanics modelforbamboo whip was established,and the rotary cutting resistance coefficient K was introduced as an evaluation index.A rotary cuting tool performance testing platform was designed and constructed,and bamboo whip cutting experiments were caried out.Using the Box—Behnken central compositedesign method,rotarycuting diameter,tooth pitch androtary cuting speedweretakenasinput parameters,whiletheaverage rotary cuting resistancecoefficient was set as theresponse value.Amultipleregresionmodelwas developed toanalyzetheefectsofeachfactorand their interactions. The results showed that the order of significance of the factors affecting the resistance coefficient K was tooth pitch > rotary cutting diameter > rotary cutting speed. The optimal parameter combination was determined to be a rotary cutting diameter of 121mm ,a tooth pitch of 8.47mm ,and a rotary cutting speed of 400Δr/min ,corresponding toarotarycuttingresistancecoeficientof7.1.This study providesatheoreticalreferencefortheoptimizationof bamboo whip cutting processes and related equipment design.
