[Abstract]Objective：To investigate the correlation between BMI and serum uricacid（UA）levels and nonalcoholic fatty liver（NAFL）.Method： Eighty patients withNAFL who were treatedat the Second People'sHospital ofJingdezhenfrom January2O21to January2O24 wereselectedandenroled intotheobservation group，andtheir clinical data were retrospectively reviewed; meanwhile，8O healthysubjects whounderwent physical examination inthe same period were selected and enrolled into the control group. General data and clinical indices between the two groups were compared，BMIand UA levelsofNAFLpatients withdiferentseveritydegrees were evaluated，and the correlations of these two indices with NAFL severity were investigated. Result： The observation group showed higher proportions of males， BMI>24kg/m2 ， sleep duration <6h ， and UA level ⩾ 320 μmol/L than the control group （ P <0.05）; compared with the mild and moderate groups，patients in the severe group had higher BMI and UA levels; and Spearman correlation analysis indicated thatBMIand UA levels in NAFL patients were positively correlated with disease severity （P<0.05） .Conclusion：BMI and UA levels are significantly positively correlated with the severity of NAFL disease， so they can be used as important reference indicators.
