[Abstract] Objective： To investigate the application effect of pressure ulcer care combined with gel positioning pads in patients undergoing lateral decubitus spine surgery.Method：Atotalof 1OO eligible patients who underwent lateral decubitus spinal surgery admited to the Third People's Hospital of Jiujiang City from January to July2024 were randomly divided into two groups，of which 5O patients underwent gel positioning pads intervention as the control group and 5O patients underwent pressure ulcer care combined with gel positioning pads intervention as the observation group. The patients' pressure injury， postoperative complications，severity of pressure injury， postoperative pain and nursing satisfaction were evaluated.Result： After intervention，the incidence of skin redness atthe contact surface in the observation group was lower than that in the control group （ P <0.05）. The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group，the degree of pressure injury was better than that in the control group （ P <0.05）.At 6，12，24 h after surgery，the pain scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group （ P <0.05）.After intervention，the total satisfaction rate of nursing in the observation group was higher than that of the control group （ P <0.05）. Conclusion： The use of pressure ulcer care and gel positioning pads intervention in patients undergoing lateral decubitus spinal surgery can improve the condition of presure injury，reduce their pain，reduce the degreeof postoperative complicationsand pressure injury， and improve nursing satisfaction.
