Research on the Unbalanced Fault of BYD's Old E5 Lithium Iron Phosphate Power Battery

【Abstract】This paper focuses on the unbalanced fault of BYD'sold E5 lithium iron phosphate power battery,and analyzes thatthecorecauseis the inconsistencyof individualcelscaused byproductionprocesserorsandmaterial characteristicdiferences,which isexacerbatedbythe influenceof charginganddischarging,temperatureand humidity environment,and working conditions.A diagnosticsystem basedon BMS data monitoring,professional equipment testing (such asbattery testersand multimeters),and fault code analysis hasbeen constructed.Active balancing (energy transfer)and passive balancing(energy dissipation)technologies have been proposed,as wellas batry cells BMS、 Repair andreplacement plan forconnecting lines.Theresearch pointsout thatthereal-time diagnosisand equipment popularizationneedtobeimproved.Inthefutue,intellgenttechnologyneeds tobeintegrated,effcientandbalanced solutionsneed tobedeveloped,andnewbattery maintenancestandards need tobe improved to ensure thesafe and reliable operation of new energy vehicles.
